ANTONIO ABAD

Spanish painter born in Vigo in 1953. Self-taught, he attended courses and workshops in different schools, acquiring an academic background with a strong inclination towards drawing; he went from charcoal and pencil to pastel as a natural evolution and there he found color; Although he continued to train in watercolor, acrylic and oil, he never left pastel as the most important means of expression in his work, which has led him to be considered an outstanding artist in this medium; He was the winner of several awards and has been interviewed by Pastel Journal, his work is framed within the Impressionist figurative and his style constantly evolves towards a very personal simplification and colorism, always in continuous learning.

It belongs to the Association of Pastelists of Spain (ASPAS)
